More likely to be Tammy Wynette. The dwarf wanting to demonstrate he is Standing By His Man Moyes. And of course he doesn't want to pay out for another costly D I V O R C E.

Would you like me to close the door as I leave ?

Slightly worried he has a bird’s name.
Named after a sanitary towel-type thingy.

Worrying indeed.

I know it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work it out , and Hammers United amongst others are often pointing it out , but it really doesn’t matter how many times Moyes or whoever takes us into the upper echelons of the Premier League , the trust has gone even if , for some , it was there in the first place.

And it’ll always be gone .

It doesn’t matter how many trophies we won or Top half finishes we were to finish in , nothing will change until they are gone .
Except the amount of club money that gets trousered.

Moyes ... er , sorry , GSB OUT !

Can't agree with that I'm afraid. If we were to start winning trophies, or even qualifying for Europe on a reasonably regular basis, there wouldn't suddenly be a move to build statues to the two true fans who saved us when they bought the club, but there wouldn't be a focal point for general discontent either.

The amount of money trousered by the shareholders (that's the true fans who saved the club when they bought it btw) would, as you say, increase as the club's success , and therefore prize money, increased but that would pale into insignificance as we all become intoxi when fans do eventually returncated by unprecedented levels of success. So in that scenario the GSB out bandwagon would grind to a halt, black balloon manufacturers would slump into insolvency and all would be at peace with the world.

Of course we aren't going to start winning trophies or qualifying for Europe regularly so when fans do eventually return the GSB out campaign will resume full throttle, probably inspired by a failure to qualify for Europe at the end of the season, and the normal service, to which most of us have become accustomed over the years , will resume.

And those fine souls involved in the manufacture and distribution of black balloons will be able to breathe a collective sigh of relief as their employment is secure, at least in the short term. Of course if Moyes contract extension isn't resolved and he decides to disappear over Hadrian's Wall to guarantee winning trophies in the Dog & Duck l;eague it is conceivable that anti board hostilities will resume again even before fans return to the stadium.

You reckon the fan base will mellow towards the gruesome twosome cos the team have/will win a few games of footy ?
Is that really what you think ?
Or are you just having a bit of fun with your black balloon releasing friends ? :D

No. At the end of the day results on the pitch are what matter to supporters. And you’ll see I said if we start qualifying for Europe on a regular basis.. I also said it’s not going to happen so it’s all hypothetical.

But i do think if we did have a period of sustained success the discontent would reduce very significantly. Which doesn’t mean everyone would start a board love in of course. But for supporters results on the pitch usually determine the mood.
