Victor Anichebe - Was he lost to the system?

Was he the great England centre forward that never was?
Was he potentially the English Marco Van Basten - pace, power, skill - just being at the wrong club stopped his progress?
Could he have been an all time great with the correct manager?

Chadli is at Monaco while Anichebe is a free agent after being released from an unknown club in China.

Wow Monaco really dropped their standards, maybe they could swoop in for Anichebe same level as Chadli.

I think you're right, they missed a trick with him. He could have played left back for England I reckon..
