Having watched the slow mo of the challenge,I have to say he should have been sent off ..Not like Tarky to be like that as he held his hand up straight away after the challenge.

22 shots makes it sound like a decent effort. It wasn't. The game was devoid of skill and intelligence. Burnley were eating up everything in the air yet we continued lumping high ball after high ball in there in the hope that Soucek could get his head on a few. Occasionally he did but in the main Burnley's defence coped relatively easily.

The saves their keeper made were good, but nothing out of this world. They were the type of saves a PL keeper should be making. Burnley weren't particularly good, but they didn't need to be. They were, however, well organised and knew what their jobs were. We on the other hand relied on hoofola. I can't recall a single move of real quality over the entire game tbh.

I actually thought, because Burnley were safe , had nothing to play for, and were ravaged by injuries tonight would possibly be the most winnable of our remaining fixtures. Clearly it wasn't. Utter, utter garbage.

Burnley are the sort of robotic side that churn out bore-fests irrespective of having anything to play for. I read a report of their 1-0 win at Palace. It's like a carbon copy of last night.

With the utmost respect to our occasional Burnley poster, I feel sorry for you. If that's football, I'm a banana. I know for them the idea of staying in the PL with all it's riches is the only thing that matters. And I concede that the crap we play is hardly to the beat of the samba.

But Dyche and his ilk (including Moyes) are an anathema to my soul.

I've been told that the dwarf approached the squeaky cunt before the Messiah when it became obvious that Audrey had lost the plot but was rebuffed in no uncertain terms for fear of meddling in team affairs.
