It was borderline red, probably just a red, but Bowen made a meal of it. That may have worked against Bowen.
Bowen, made a meal of it?I suggest you take another look at the challenge?
Yeah mate that scrape down the calf/achilles ...if you've ever had it...is the most painful thing...and I've broke me wrist playing
once...and that hurt like merry fuck....
10 mins or so it's agony...but usually can run it off....not the broken wrist...... 2 months plaster and no footie...

I really like Tarkowski, cracking player..wouldn't mind him here...he aint dirty by any means...but got that one wrong..
and he knew it....80% of the time you walk for that...meant or not...

He only held his hand up, because he knew it was bad and was shit scared of getting sent off. He couldn't believe he only got a yellow.
Dyche coming straight out of the Wenger book of apologies. " I didn't see it, we've got VAR now, did their players complain"
Can't defend Tarkowski or Dyche in this instance, and if rolls were reversed, Dyche would be fucking fuming to all and sundry.

22 shots makes it sound like a decent effort. It wasn't. The game was devoid of skill and intelligence. Burnley were eating up everything in the air yet we continued lumping high ball after high ball in there in the hope that Soucek could get his head on a few. Occasionally he did but in the main Burnley's defence coped relatively easily.

The saves their keeper made were good, but nothing out of this world. They were the type of saves a PL keeper should be making. Burnley weren't particularly good, but they didn't need to be. They were, however, well organised and knew what their jobs were. We on the other hand relied on hoofola. I can't recall a single move of real quality over the entire game tbh.

I actually thought, because Burnley were safe , had nothing to play for, and were ravaged by injuries tonight would possibly be the most winnable of our remaining fixtures. Clearly it wasn't. Utter, utter garbage.
Burnley are the sort of robotic side that churn out bore-fests irrespective of having anything to play for. I read a report of their 1-0 win at Palace. It's like a carbon copy of last night.

With the utmost respect to our occasional Burnley poster, I feel sorry for you. If that's football, I'm a banana. I know for them the idea of staying in the PL with all it's riches is the only thing that matters. And I concede that the crap we play is hardly to the beat of the samba.

But Dyche and his ilk (including Moyes) are an anathema to my soul.

I've been told that the dwarf approached the squeaky cunt before the Messiah when it became obvious that Audrey had lost the plot but was rebuffed in no uncertain terms for fear of meddling in team affairs.

Well, good.

I'd rather go blind than watch a West Ham side play under him.

Let's Look at the match against West Ham, who play the 'West Ham' way!
West Ham 429 passes with a pass accuracy of 74% with 172 passes in the final third of the field and they played 72 long balls.
Burnley 396 passes with a pass accuracy of 76.3% with 114 passes in the final third and we played 60 long balls ---and we are the long ball specialists.
Final result 1-0 to us -----oh dear, how sad, never mind! ..

Hang on a sec, that's a bit of Jesus smuggling.

You can't reference the West Ham way in a David Moyes team and then pretend because it was awful then the West Ham way was at fault.

It was a good try though...

Do I think it could/should have been reviewed. Of course, otherwise why is VAR there in the first place.
Why do you think it wasn't a red card?

Don’t think any of us appreciate the Moyes style of football he is just an inferior Dyche.
We just don’t want the Dyche way either.
It’s not what you do it is the way that you do it.

Long Ball...............
A Searching ball ....that just drops over a defenders head to put someone thru on goal....
A Diagonal ball fullback to opposite wing...scouse style...
An aerial hoof in the direction of your isolated Target Man.....70s style.....which comes straight back at you 9 times outta 10...

Guess which is our chosen method....

Bloody frustrating tho....Main reason my Remote goes flying when watch on TV if I'm honest.. ..hate hoofball with
a passion...
