You started a fans group with the premise of meeting the board and improving the supporters experience.
You did not set out any pre-conditions.
The board had no obligation to meet with you.
The board offered you a seat around a table to discuss your issues.
You refused to attend because another group of supporters would be there.
You could have attended to see what they had to say, you didn't. You felt you would be pressured into joining the OSB which given the way you have conducted yourselves so far I think that under no circumstances would this have happened.
Had you met and come away with nothing you would have done so with credibility.
Instead you decided to change the whole aim of the group to GSB out, without being clear on your website.

This is why I think you have let yourselves down.

pow - they couldn't force you into integrating into the OSB, so why didn't you give the meeting a chance?
In all negotiations, there has to be compromise on both sides. GSB agreed to meet with you (when they didn't have to) but they wanted the OSB there to answer some of your questions. You flatly refused and offered no compromise whatsoever, it was either on your terms or not at all.
The “No” definition should have read....
“No. Complete waste of time where the board (as they always have done) will invite them in for a hoodwinking session with no tasks, minutes, milestones or signatories.
A number of noncommittal guarantees will be made that won’t be honoured, only spun until the next whitewashing session”.
An overall exercise in delay and time-wasting whilst hoping for things to die down.
Maybe if there were some new people ON that board with some actual footballing credentials and/or a modicum of trustworthiness then perhaps HU's response would have been different?.
Fancy calling your only son "Barnestoneworth"
He's got another name....
Yeah....."United"

The problem is Tone, we will never know what the board would have done, because HU refused to participate. Had they done so and that was the response I think the level of support would be substantially bigger and the action totally justified.
In terms of different people on the board and the HU response, do you genuinely believe that GSB Out wasn't their original intention?
HD1.You will be aware that Hammers united had a preliminary meeting with Jake Heath. We suggested the OSB be disbanded and a new supporters body be formed.-For the fans, representing the fans and elected by the fans. This being progressed with the help of the FSA who totally endorsed the suggestion.Jake Heath was very positive to this. The next thing we heard was Jake Heath EMailing us saying that he had infact never met Hammers United but met our committee members as individual supporters.-A blatant lie.-And that is what you are continually up against with these people.Lies, spin and manipulation.
