John Hartson, who was doing our game on BT, was less than impressed with Haller. Reckoned for that money he should have tucked at least one away in the first half.
He’s right, he definitely should’ve tucked away the one that hit Pickfords legs

I wish we’d try and sell Lanzini to raise some dough rather than Yarmalenko
I'd sell them both tbh.

Even in Roberto's darkest moments he pulled off the occasional great save. It's the contribution over 90 minutes that's key, not brief cameos.

Dont be patronising Whisky...

I am making the small point that he made more significant passes in the whole game than anybody else, to balance comments like "steals a living"

Best pass he's made all season was in the 94th minute to Everton's Tom Davies. Luckily Haller blocked it , not that it will make much difference.

Not patronising at all. What you said was that he made 2 pinpoint passes which were featured on Match of The Day. You made no reference whatsoever to the number of significant passes he made in the whole game.

My point was that, in isolation, 2 precision passes or a couple of brilliant saves, count for nothing if the player's overall contribution was below standard. A point which I made with no comment about anyone stealing a living. ;)

And you think I wouldn't have been aware of that platitude ?

A point wasn’t enough on Saturday, that was a must win.

Thought we did well in first half and deserved to be ahead but second we were poor. Moyes subs continue to frustrate, first by subbing Fornals over Lanzini then the Ajeti sub came too late.

We need to get a couple of points from Liverpool games, Leicester and City now I think.

I guess he was giving Lanzini a little longer to prove himself...

Think he'll have seen enough now.

Not sure if you'd be aware or not Mike. But given your normal stance on all matters relating to Mr Noble I did suspect there may have been just a hint of bias. Or myopia.
