Quick update.

Thanks for the response from everyone.

We may have two other options.

1: Someone on the videos has mentioned potentially sponsoring the website annually to cover the hosting package.

2: Another lovely chap has offered to host the whole site on his server for free. I'm not sure if this is possible yet but I've asked someone who knows about such things to explore the possibility.

UPDATE:


Last night myself and Geo launched a Patreon account, the idea being that we'll both be able to take a couple of days off work each month and just concentrate on hammers Chat stuff (which has become incredibly time consuming).

During the video we mentioned the forum hosting and associated costs.

Within a couple of hours we received a ludicrously generous donation to cover the forum costs for 12 months.

I'm not even sure the chap uses the forum but to say we're chuffed is an understatement.

So a massive thank you to Ed (obviously we've thanked him personally) . . . the funding issue has now gone completely.

We're now going to modernize the website a bit free from the shackles of the financial burden.
