As many know, prior to the Crystal Palace game, a regular on the boats (Dan), took a turn for the worse and suffered a heart attack.

Thanks to the reactions of other guests on the boat and staff, he’s been given a chance to fight for his life.

-Those who helped and saved Dans life have been given free entry to all future Hammers Chat boat events
-We are raising money to purchase a defibrillator machine for the boats.
-Prior to an upcoming fixture, we will be arranging for free CPR and defibrillator training to anyone who wishes to attend
-Entry to the boats before and after the Newcastle United game is now free with donation buckets instead, all proceeds will be going towards the fund.

Roger has kindly donated a signed shirt by Declan Rice, this is being auctioned off and will end tonight at 8pm. Top bid atm is £140. Please reply to this thread with your bid or email us at hammerschat@gmail.com

To raise money we are running a raffle, it is £4 per entry with a maximum of 4 entries per person so everyone has a fair chance of winning an item. Please be sure to leave your full name when donating. The draw will be done on the boats prior to the Newcastle United game.

Prizes so far (more to be added as they arrive)
-signed first team shirt, courtesy of Betway
-West Ham Fan TV t-shirt, courtesy of the boys at WHFTV
-pair of tickets to a West Ham way event, courtesy of Exwhuemployee and Dave Walker

Latest on Dan is that he remains in a bad way but is now breathing on his own. We are getting updated daily and will post all updates on here on how Dan is

Our best thoughts and best wishes are with Dan and his family!

Terrible news and thank god there were people on boat who knew cpr and could save poor Dan's life.
Fingers crossed that he makes a full recovery.

Good idea to get a defibrillator for boat. I've just made donation and urge others to give what they can.

How much do you need to raise?

If the Boat Owners make the purchase, from our contributions, they can claim the VAT back? If any!

A really good thing to come from such a horrible event.

Well done as usual fellas, I will certainly be making a decent contribution on Friday when I’m paid.

The news sounds so much more positive than a few days back 👍🏻👍🏻, let’s hope it continues.

To those that saved his life - you should be very proud.

To those that haven’t been lucky enough to do the 3 day first aid course - please do listen to the CPR training that is available on the day.

Hammers family - makes you proud
