Well it could be a case of Sullivan and co installing the " couldnt give a fuck " attitude in both Bilic and the squad. Never really know how things would have turned out had Sullivan dug his hands in his pockets, but i suspect, If the first scenario wasnt the case, that things wouldnt have turned out much better. Seriously though . He got a lot of stick for his alleged tactical ineptitude but he did try on several occasions to sure up our midfield with the sort of player that we STILL need ( Big Willy for example) but just wasn’t backed by the gruesome twosome.
True , Payet got him out of trouble that last season at Upton Park but we had as big a chance to kick on the next year as we did after 1986 and , same as with John Lyall , our owners let him , and us , down badly.
We’ve had a lot worse here than Bilic and I wish him well.
