Get all the comments ...and agree,it's going totally overboard now...and could fill the next 23 pages with reasons why...
But....
If this is just a one off...Nod/Gesture....to the Black guys that play for our clubs..some of them...maybe most would have
faced some form of racialism...cos whatever we think it does happen,we've ALL seen and heard it..
I can be OK with this ONE OFF thing...

It's hard.. but trying the separate the sentiment and meaning behind this thing away from the Arsehole that got killed and
the Hero Worship by some he seems to have......which is in a word...Fuckin Disgraceful....two Sorry...

So as a Nod to OUR players and the shit they might have had...Yes OK...

If they bang on about the guy that points guns at a Pregnant womans stomach...they can F off with it...so I'll see how it goes..

Posted before... a mate off mine was playing against us once....the shit and abuse he got...nearly made me jack it all in...
Just can't imagine what my mate most have felt like....
We've moved a long way from that now...but it's still around in a very very small minority...we do have to recognise that...

How will that even be physically possible ?

The only protest is the off switch.
 spot on, i was so fucking incensed at the time i was writing it my thinking was clouded...

and "George Floyd's killing was abhorrent but racist it was not"

also correct, the cop would have done the same to anybody....

Our fantastic NHS have done a wonderful job during this pandemic and we are all so grateful to all.

A black criminal gets killed by a cop 4,000 miles away and the PL decide to make their main tribute to BLM over the NHS.

WHAT AN INSULT!.

You really couldn't make it up.
Very good observation. The only reason the football can actually go ahead is because of the work by the NHS.

They threw the opportunity to do something worthwhile and instead have tried to appease some needy self publicist at Kick-it-Out.

We don't care about a narrow BLM focus while struggling in a global pandemic where All Lives Matter.

It's a thin response in a high resolution world

Maybe he could have been given an opportunity at Derby or Rangers as per Lampard & Gerrard.
That is all that is been asked with the Rooney rule.

Southend had no wins at all for the season when he took over, so the wins he did get was better than the previous manager, so a little unfair to condemn for that win % rate.

Also done a decent job at Macclesfield season before.

I've heard that he left Macclesfield in part because he wanted to take the team on a pre season training trip to Italy. He was told he couldn't because of the club's financial situation and jacked it in. Don't know if that's true of course, although Macclesfield's financial mismanagement is a matter of record. Oddly enough as is Southend's.

Totally agree that the hero worship of some criminal scumbag is totally out of order. But try telling people whose cancer. or other important treatment has been put off or reduced because of the panic over Coronavirus that the NHS has done a great job.

Not the fault of the frontline staff of course, but the civil servants who run the fucking thing.
